Glass Cut - Series with StudioHugo

Our first design collaboration with Jörg Hugo, founder of StudioHugo, came to fruition in 2017, after having known him for more than a year. We endeavoured to establish a relationship that would be based on three varied avenues of creativity coming together to produce a series of special lighting designs.

The Glass Cut  - Series that is based on Hugo’s interest in the deconstruction of materials and geometric designs. With respect to the natural behaviour of glass, the external interventions are seemingly minimal, and yet upon closer look, one sees the complexity that is achieved through layering of colours and creating optic contours. Furthermore, in order to accentuate the geometrical scale, the cuts are varied in height and degree, creating fluid transitions from one element to the other.
